Message :That an auto TT will outrun manual 0-100 mph; that's what the manufacturer claimed I believe. But there are more things to consider. Just a simple thought - will you be upgrading to much higher power levels? Stock auto tranny won't be as forgiving as manual.

Really there are only two reasons why I feel I need to do the swap.

1. If I go to stage 3 ( which btw, would be the most I ever care about ) thats approx 350-400 hp and I believe the auto tranny will just fail on me , quite quickly. I believe once I have gone manual, it opens up possibilities for me to maintain the car a lot easier. i can just swap the tranny if needed later on, replace the clutch or een perhaps upgrade to the 350z 6 spd when it becomes common place.

Its my understanding the auto can be more problematic and way more expensive to repair.


Finally, even at stage 2, I am afraid the tranny will not hold up spirited driving as it was designed to run on 280 hp :(
Please correct me, if I am wrong.
